about

This album was created during the early 2009 sessions of "The 24-Hour Psychosis." This is perhaps the most epic of the BFR albums to date and is actually a triple album worth of music inspired by the dark films I grew up on including "Evil Dead" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" as well as David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" and "Fire Walk With Me." I used various instruments and field sounds including a meat grinder, coffee maker, violin, prepared piano, ancient cell phone, Mini-Moog, Gibson SG, tribal drum loops and lots of aural goodies to create this walk through the deep woods of your darkest subconscious. Creepyland is best enjoyed through a pair of your favorite headphones or surround sound system.

Inspired by a multitude of influences ranging from horror film soundtracks and 70s prog rock to the exotic sounds of 1950s/1960s exotica pioneers, Martin Denny and Les Baxter. ... more
